Well here we are again, just moments away from the new year. We are transitioning from what is right now the present, which by midnight tonight will become the past, Towards what will become our foreseeable future. The year 2020, a complete new year with new changes, new challenges, new perspectives and new opportunities.
So, what is it about this new year that’s going to be different for you than last year? Are you looking forward to making any specific changes within your life? Do you have any wildly important goals that you are set to achieve within a certain timeframe in the new year? What about a New Year’s resolution, do you have one of those?
For myself, I personally don’t Believe in New Year’s resolutions. To me, a New Year’s resolution is similar to a diet plan which, as we all know, is more often than not a temporary thing. For myself, a big goal that I plan on achieving, is to lose 30 pounds of straight body fat by June 1, 2020. Everyone knows how to lose weight. It’s a combination of diet and exercise, or as I like to put it, instead of using a diet plan, just change the eating habits that we already have.
Another goal that I have for the year of 2020, is to finally stick with the Bible reading plan. Last year in 2019, I started a Bible reading plan with several people within my church congregation but I continued to fall short and eventually led to me not reading my Bible each day of the year. I believe that 2020 is going to be my year. A fresh start, a year where I achieve more goals than I ever have before and influence the lives of more people than I ever have before as well. The last thing I’m going leave you with is the following: What Will YOU do to make 2020 your year, and kick butt?
