Pursuing His Will

Dear Support Family,

By God’s grace and your generosity, after only one month of raising support, I am 33% of the way there towards my support raising goal! Which is HUGE. So, thank you!

If you’re ever wondering how your giving is impactful, I wanted to let you know that your generosity is going towards God’s plan to reach people in the Navy. This journey that we are on together will enable me to gain the necessary training and equipping to become a Navy Chaplain who goes with the gospel to reach the nations. It is in this way that we are partnering together for the sake of the Gospel, and I am so thankful for your partnership.

This Month’s Core Value

I’m also glad to be part of a church who values generosity. If you attend Bay Area, you are living this value out. If you are not part of Bay Area, I want you to know that my church has a value called Extravagant Generosity, which means…

Regardless of whether you attend Bay Area or not, by giving, you are living out this value.

This value of generosity is straight from God’s Word and is something that we do out of love. As I talked with a great friend about generosity today, he shared with me that when we give, we are giving to the Lord, and He will use our financial gifts for His great purposes. He told me a short story that one day he lost an envelope with money which he had dedicated to Jesus. Two years later, the envelope was found, and the money was used to fund the church. He devoted it to God, and it was used for God’s purposes, in God’s timing.

“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having sufficiency in all things, at all times, you may abound in every good work.”

2 Corinthians 9:7-8

Story Time

I’d like to share one quick story of God’s provision through the generosity of His people. My Father is a Pastor/Chaplain, and he was sharing what I am doing with one of his close friends. Well, I got a call from this friend who I have never met, and they were so encouraged by what they heard the Lord was calling me to, they felt led to donate a sizable one-time gift! This humbled me and blew me away, that the Lord would provide through someone I have never met.

It’s these acts of generosity that get me excited about the work God has called me to, and I am so thankful that I get to be part of it with you!
